Kristina holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and a Pre-Medical Bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University, graduating at the top of her class with the highest honors. Kristina completed her Pharmacy Technician Certification at University of Florida and graduated with the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board in 2014.
Kristina has practiced in both inpatient hospital, acute emergency room and outpatient clinical settings since 2009. She understands how to build rapport with clients of all ages, from children to older adults, which makes the para-clinical work she does more effective. She is trained in many therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, experiential, as well as teaching and reinforcing life skills. Kristina has a passion in addressing emotional and behavioral challenges while utilizing early intervention techniques to increase pro-social behavior to reinforce self-confidence, self-control and resiliency.
Today, as a Registered Social Work Intern, she is currently working towards her licensure in Clinical Social Work with the State of Florida. Kristina is currently completing her Doctorate in Social Work with a speciality in trauma-informed care highlighting neurobiology and resiliency. Additionally, Kristina completed post-graduate training in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Training (CBT) and is EMDR trained.
