Regina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She earned a BS in Social Work from Saint Francis University, Loretto, PA, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. She has extensive experience in maternal infant care, adolescent therapeutic foster care, inpatient psychiatric care, and the treatment of eating disorders and trauma.
Regina has over 30 years of experience in the treatment of eating disorders and trauma, having worked for 25 of those years with a nationally recognized Eating Disorder facility providing individual, family, and group therapy. Regina brings to Therapeutic Oasis her expertise in experiential therapy with the eating disorder and trauma client. She uses a compassionate but direct approach to motivate clients to look at their underlying emotional issues. Regina uses a mix of psycho-education, safety and containment skills, and experiential therapies to help the client understand the purpose of their behaviors and help them find the skills necessary to cope without using their symptoms. She will then help them identify the underlying emotions they are avoiding and invite them to face those painful emotions through experiential exercises. Regina is passionate in her belief that clients can make a full recovery by bringing out their willingness to face their underlying emotional issues in a supportive environment.
