About Couples Therapy
A committed relationship is one of the most powerful entry points into personal happiness. As couples invest their energy the relationship develops a life of its own. A healthy relationship will provide joy, security, and empowerment to each partner. An unhealthy relationship can bring frustration, anxiety, and even pain. When one or both partners feel disconnected, confused, or overwhelmed, a marriage counselor can help put the pieces back together.
Relationship Wellness Offerings
Couples Counseling
Couples Counseling offers insights and tools to navigate a disconnected marriage. For couples who are struggling to communicate, connect, and create emotional safety in their relationship, a good relationship therapist provides a fresh perspective.
Couples therapy is not only for married people, any two individuals hoping to improve their relationship can participate.
Couples Therapy (also known as Marriage Therapy or Marriage Counseling) is a type of therapy that helps couples improve their relationship and resolve conflicts. The goal of couples therapy is to help couples understand and overcome the challenges in their relationship so that they can improve communication, deepen their connection, and build a stronger and healthier relationship.
During this type of relationship therapy, couples typically meet with a therapist who will help them identify the issues in their relationship and develop strategies for addressing and resolving those issues. The therapist will often use a variety of techniques and approaches to help the couple improve communication, manage emotions, and develop a more positive and supportive relationship.
Conscious Uncoupling
When both partners know that they want to divorce or separate, and would like to untangle in a dignified and respectful way, couples therapy can provide a framework to move on gracefully. This is especially important when there are children involved.
Should I Stay or Should I go?
Many couples enter couples counseling with untold truths – really trying to decide whether or not staying in their relationship is right for them. A marriage counselor can assist in weighing out the pros and cons.
Conscious Coupling
For singles who have been looking for love, but can’t seem to find the kind that sticks; a relationship therapist can help understand and identify love blocks through 1:1 work. Learning effective relationship tools before making a commitment will lay the groundwork for a strong and successful relationship in the future.

Trained & experienced – a good couples therapist should have the necessary training and experience to effectively help couples improve their relationship. This may include a degree in psychology or a related field as well as specialized training in couples therapy.
Empathetic and understanding – be able to show empathy and understanding towards both members of the couple, and be able to help them feel heard and supported.
Objective – remain objective and unbiased, and not take sides or favor one member of the couple over the other.
