Mackenzie Lyons
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Mackenzie Lyons is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. She is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults reconnect with themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and build lives that feel meaningful, fulfilling, and authentic.
Mackenzie believes that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and accepted. She strives to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while developing practical skills to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. With specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), she integrates evidence-based techniques to help clients regulate emotions, tolerate distress, strengthen relationships, and cultivate lasting change.
Taking a holistic approach to therapy, Mackenzie honors the connection between the mind, body, and spirit, recognizing that each person's journey is unique. Whether supporting a child learning to understand their emotions, a teen navigating life's transitions, or an adult seeking greater balance, purpose, or self-compassion, she meets each client with curiosity, empathy, and respect. She considers it a true privilege to walk alongside her clients as they deepen their self-understanding, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who they are.
